And after the Big Read?

You may want a rest! But ... the Spirit is at work in God’s people and, at some stage, they’ll be up for more!   So, why not join Lindisfarne’s ‘Making sense of the Bible for Today’ course? It is built upon Luke’s

‘beginning with Moses and all the prophets, Jesus interpreted to them the things about himself in all the scriptures’

Specially provided for us by Foundations 21, this short course gives a very useful and accessible overview of the gospels. It gently opens up how and why the gospels use the Old Testament and there are lots of resonances for today. It is trainer led, intense and entertaining, and good for those who know some ‘bits’ of the Bible but who would like to get a broader picture.

Revd Jon Wilkinson, Gateshead Team Ministry, says of the course:

"Making sense of the Bible for today is good follow on from the Big Read because it explores the world in which the New Testament was written and some the wider themes of the gospels.  A broader outlook like this would be very useful for people who are beginning to enjoy reading the Bible."
